I. Design and Process Preparation
2. Material Selection and Control
- Material Selection Select highly wear‑resistant and corrosion‑proof alloy materials based on operating conditions. Use high‑hardness, wear‑resistant materials for flow passage components; opt for high‑toughness alloy forgings for the shaft system; employ specialized wear‑resistant and corrosion‑proof materials for seals; utilize high‑strength welding materials for the housing and base; and adopt wear‑resistant replacement materials for vulnerable parts.
- Material Inspection All raw materials shall be accompanied by certificates of conformity and mechanical test reports; critical materials shall undergo individual physicochemical re‑testing, and any non‑conforming materials shall be strictly prohibited from entering the site.
- Preprocessing Remove the surface oxide layer and impurities, perform annealing or normalizing according to the material, eliminate internal stresses, and enhance machinability.
3. Manufacturing of Core Components
- Wear‑resistant flow path components Precisely cast or forged blanks are used to produce defect‑free components. After rough machining to remove excess material and relieve internal stresses, the components undergo precision finishing with strict control over flow passage smoothness (Ra ≤ 1.6 μm) and sealing surface accuracy. Surface hardening via quenching or application of wear‑resistant coatings is then carried out, and the parts are transferred to the next stage only after passing non‑destructive testing.
- Shaft assembly components Alloy forgings undergo normalizing and tempering treatment (hardness HRC 30–38) to enhance toughness. Key areas such as the journal necks are precisely turned and ground, with strict control over roundness and surface roughness (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm), followed by ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing to ensure that there are no internal defects.
- Housing and Base Precise cutting and forming, standardized welding and grinding, followed by stress-relief annealing of the entire assembly after welding. The flange face (flatness ≤ 0.03 mm) and mounting surface are precision machined, then assembled after passing inspection.
- Sealing components : Precisely machine the seals according to the design dimensions to ensure that their dimensions and hardness meet the specified standards. Conduct fitting tests with the installation grooves to verify the sealing fit and compression amount.
4. Rotor Assembly
- Pre‑installed adjustments Pre‑assemble each component onto the shaft system, check the fit accuracy, adjust the clearances, and identify any looseness or deviations.
- Precise fixation : Secure the core flow path components and shaft system in place according to the manufacturing process, strictly controlling coaxiality and spacing to ensure smooth flow path connections.
- Dynamic balancing correction Perform dynamic balancing on the rotor assembly to achieve a balance accuracy of G4.0 or higher, eliminate eccentricity, reduce vibration and noise, and proceed to the next stage only after passing re-inspection.
5. Complete Machine Assembly
- Main assembly : Level and secure the base, assemble the housing in sequence, control coaxiality and clearance, and apply specialized sealing material to the sealing surfaces.
- Install the rotor. Precisely install the rotor into the housing and adjust the clearance between the rotor and the housing as well as the flow passage components to ensure there is no friction or jamming.
- Sealing and Transmission Assembly Install bearings, seals, and accessories, ensuring reliable sealing and smooth transmission; manually rotate the assembly to identify any installation defects.
6. Performance Testing and Trials
- Withstand Voltage Test Conduct a hydrostatic pressure test at 1.5 times the design pressure, ensuring no leaks or deformations are detected; after passing the test, dry the component.
- Running test Conduct no‑load and load operation tests to verify core parameters such as rotational speed, vibration, noise, temperature rise, flow rate, and head, ensuring that all metrics meet the standards and that there are no abnormal leaks.
7. Surface Treatment and Packaging
8. Factory Acceptance Testing
