Partial application scenarios of flanges
Release time:2026-01-15
A flange, also known as a flange plate or flange disk, is a component used to connect pipes to one another by being attached to the pipe ends. Flanges are also employed at the inlets and outlets of equipment, serving as connectors between two pieces of equipment. A flanged connection or flanged joint refers to a detachable connection consisting of three components—a flange, a gasket, and bolts—that work together as a sealed assembly. In piping systems, "pipe flanges" refer to flanges used for connecting pipes, while when applied to equipment, they denote the inlet and outlet flanges of the equipment itself. Flanges are equipped with bolt holes, and bolts are used to securely fasten two flanges together. A gasket is placed between the flanges to ensure a tight seal.

- Features: Mostly adopted High-carbon steel forged flange Strong voltage resistance and impact resistance.
- Hydraulic system pipeline connections
- Application scenarios: Pipeline connections between hydraulic pump stations, hydraulic cylinders, and control valves in heavy machinery, such as hydraulic oil pipe flanges for excavators and hydraulic system flanges for cranes.
- Function: To achieve sealed conveyance of high-pressure hydraulic oil, prevent leakage, and accommodate high-pressure operating conditions (10–35 MPa).
- Features: Mostly High-pressure welded flange or Welding neck flange The sealing surface has high precision and is resistant to high pressure and corrosion.
- Large Rack/Base Assembly
- Application scenarios: Segmental connections of frames for heavy-duty machine tools and metallurgical equipment; flanged joints for the headframe and tailframe of mining conveyors.
- Function: Large structural components are fabricated in sections and then assembled on-site, reducing transportation difficulties and ensuring connection strength.
- Features: Adopted Plate-type flat-welded flange or Flanged adapter The bolt holes are evenly distributed, and the positioning accuracy is high. Steelmaking / Ironmaking Equipment Piping Connections
- Application scenarios: Flanges for cooling water pipelines, oxygen pipelines, and gas transmission pipelines in converters and blast furnaces.
- Function: To convey media such as cooling water, oxygen, and gas, while maintaining sealing performance under high-temperature conditions.
- Features: Adopted Heat-resistant steel flange (For example, chromium-nickel stainless steel), the sealing surface uses a metal-wound gasket, which is resistant to high temperatures (≥600℃).
- Connection of steel rolling equipment components
- Application scenarios: The bearing housing flange for the rolling mill's rolls, connected to the frame; and the shaft-end flange for the conveyor roller line in the steel rolling production line.
- Function: To secure the bearing housing position, ensure the parallelism of the rolls, and withstand the impact forces generated during the rolling process.
- Features: Thick-walled forged flange High strength and strong resistance to deformation.
- Cavity/Frame Connection for Crushing Equipment
- Application scenarios: Flange connections between the cavity and frame of jaw crushers and cone crushers; flange at the rotor shaft end of hammer crushers.
- Function: Secure the cavity position, withstand the impact force of crushed materials, and prevent the cavity from loosening.
- Features: High-strength carbon steel flange The bolt holes are equipped with positioning pins, offering excellent vibration resistance.
- Pipe/roller connections for conveying equipment
- Application scenarios: Flange at the shaft end of conveyor rollers for mining belt conveyors, flange for connecting middle sections of scraper conveyors, and flanges for mine drainage pipelines.
- Function: Connects segmented components of conveying equipment, transports media such as mineral slurry and wastewater, and prevents dust from entering the equipment interior.
- Features: Anti-corrosion coated flange (Such as hot-dip galvanized flanges) are moisture-resistant and corrosion-proof.

Working Principle of Electric Welding Machines
The core function of an electric welding machine is to achieve a strong, durable bond between metals, with its operating principle fundamentally based on the conversion of electrical energy into thermal energy. By leveraging the coordinated operation of its internal core components, the machine converts mains electricity into the energy required for welding and ultimately fuses the metal through the heat generated by the electric arc, thereby completing the joint. The key components include step-down transformers in conventional models, inverters in high-frequency models, welding electrodes, and control circuits for stable process regulation. These components work in a division of labor to ensure that the welding process proceeds in an orderly and controlled manner.

What is nondestructive testing? What are the various NDT methods?
Nondestructive testing (NDT) refers to a quality-control technique that, without compromising the structural integrity, service performance, or internal microstructure of the test object, employs physical or chemical methods to perform qualitative, locational, and quantitative inspections for surface and subsurface defects—such as cracks, porosity, slag inclusions, lack of penetration, and looseness—in materials, components, and welded structures.

Core Principles and Procedures of Fire-Resistance Testing
This is a standardized, controlled test procedure conducted in a laboratory furnace, following nationally or internationally harmonized time–temperature exposure curves (such as GB/T 9978 and ISO 834), to subject building components, fire-protection materials, structural elements, fire-stopping assemblies, equipment enclosures, and similar items to simulated real-fire exposure conditions. Under specified loading, the test continuously monitors three critical performance indicators—load-carrying capacity, structural integrity, and thermal insulation—and defines the fire-resistance rating as the duration from the onset of fire exposure until the first failure of any one of these indicators, thereby providing a standardized, repeatable, and quantifiable method for scientifically assessing the fire-safety performance of materials and components.
